The DUS Smart Mini Winch is a versatile, ultra-compact winch system designed for effortless deployment on autonomous USVs, crewed vessels and fixed measurement stations. Developed in‑house for autonomous and remote operations, it provides a fully integrated, precise, and low‑maintenance solution for automated dipping tasks. Optimized for USVs yet fully usable as a stand‑alone unit, it supports over 90% of common wireless and battery‑powered payloads, including multiparameter probes, SVPs, CTDs, and many other sensing and sampling instruments.

DUMS provides a clear interface for planning routes and survey grids, monitoring vessel and sensor status, and switching between direct control, autopilot, track following, and dynamic positioning.
Autonomous navigation functions combine onboard perception, sensor fusion, and adaptive path planning to detect objects and respond to changing conditions while keeping the remote operator informed.
