DUS Mobile ROC

MODULAR REMOTE OPERATIONS CENTRE FOR FLEXIBLE USV DEPLOYMENT

The DUS Mobile Remote Operations Centre (ROC) is a modular, portable system for remote and autonomous USV operations across inland, coastal, and offshore missions. Built around independent communication, power distribution, battery backup, and transport modules, it can be deployed as a portable tower or integrated into vans, vessels, and office rack systems. Native integration with DEMCON Uncrewed Mission Software (DUMS) supports remote vessel control, mission planning, situational awareness, and fleet monitoring within one operational environment.

Interchangeable, stackable modules allow the configuration to be adapted to the mission and deployment location. Dual LTE/WAN, Wi-Fi, optional satellite connectivity, automatic power transfer, and backup battery capacity support operational continuity during outages and mobile deployment. Integrated system monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and logging provide insight into ROC and vessel status and support remote troubleshooting. The Mobile ROC can be supplied as a compact standard setup or expanded with additional communication, power, battery, antenna, and utility modules.

explore the mobile ROC.

The Mobile ROC forms the operational link between the remote operator, the USV, and its mission systems. Its distributed architecture separates essential functions into dedicated modules, making the system easier to configure, position, service, and expand. Operators can access vessel and mission information from a central workspace, while engineers retain insight into the connected subsystems and interfaces. This supports a structured way of working during preparation, execution, and technical support.

The ROC can serve a single vessel or form part of a wider operational setup with multiple control locations. Its configuration can be matched to the available workspace, operator roles, mission duration, and required level of system access. Standardised connections simplify the addition or replacement of modules as operational requirements change. By bringing control, supervision, and technical system access together, the Mobile ROC provides a consistent operating environment for field deployment, vessel-based control, and shore-based operations.

software for uncrewed operations

Our integrated software suite supports remote, assisted, and autonomous USV operations within one modular environment. It brings together mission planning, vessel control, situational awareness, alert management, monitoring, and diagnostics, giving operators access to the information and functions required throughout a mission. DUMS provides a clear interface for planning routes and survey grids, monitoring vessel and sensor status, and switching between direct control, autopilot, track following, and dynamic positioning.

Autonomous navigation functions combine onboard perception, sensor fusion, and adaptive path planning to detect objects and respond to changing conditions while keeping the remote operator informed. Developed in-house, the software can be configured for different vessels, mission profiles, ROC setups, and levels of autonomy. It can be integrated with USV platforms from DEMCON unmanned systems, third-party vessels, and OEM platforms. Explore the software behind our remote and autonomous operations.
